College Overview

Established in 1967, Conestoga now serves 40,000 registered students through campuses and training centres in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Stratford, Ingersoll, Brantford and Milton and is a provincial leader in apprenticeship training. Continuing education programs attract approximately 26,000 enrolments each year. As the region only provider of polytechnic education, Conestoga plays an integral role in the success of our community: 65 per cent of our graduates remain in the area after completing their education, contributing more than $2.3 billion each year to the local economy. More than 50 per cent of the local adult population has accessed our services. Conestoga delivers more than 270 full-time, career-focused programs and has more degree offerings than any other college outside the GTA, including Ontario’s only college-based, accredited engineering degrees. As one of the country top research colleges, Conestoga applied research activities support student learning and helps area businesses grow, innovate and improve their productivity.

Post Graduate Permit

The Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) allows students who have graduated from a participating Canadian post-secondary institution to gain valuable Canadian work experience.

Co-op/Internship Participation
Cooperative education (or co-operative education) and internships are methods of combining classroom-based education with practical work experience. A cooperative education experience ("co-op"), provides academic credit for structured job experience. Co-ops are full-time, paid or unpaid positions. Internships may be full-time or part-time, paid or unpaid positions.

Conditional Offer letter
Even if students do NOT meet Conestoga's minimum English requirement (IELTS or TOEFL), they can still get conditionally accepted in the program of their choice with the condition of completing Conestoga's English program at the Doon Campus prior to starting their chosen program.
Accommodations

On-Campus Residence Accommodations

  • First come first serve
  • Price range: $7200-$8000 per year

On-campus residence facilities are offered to students at the Kitchener - Doon and Cambridge campuses, subject to availability. Students at other campuses must find off-campus or homestay placements.
