Students access co-op opportunities through the Hired Portal, where employers post positions and students can apply. A co-op administrative fee of $475 is assessed to students upon transfer to the co-op option, covering support services provided to co-op students .
Work While Studying
At Durham College, international students can work while studying under specific conditions. They are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week during the academic term and full-time during scheduled breaks with a valid study permit. Students must also obtain a Social Insurance Number (SIN) to be employed in Canada.
