After completing their degree at Glasgow Caledonian University, eligible international students can apply for the UK Graduate Route (Post-Study Work visa), which allows them to stay and work in the UK for up to 2 years (or 3 years for PhD graduates). This visa provides an opportunity to gain professional work experience in the UK without employer sponsorship.
Co-op/Internship Participation

Students can engage in sandwich/industrial placements (often as part of degree programmes), short internships (summer or part-time), and work experience opportunities that help apply academic learning in real-world settings. The university’s Careers Service and Work Experience Hub support students in finding and applying for jobs, placements, and internships (both on-campus and with external employers), and offer guidance on career planning, CV preparation, and interview skills. GCU also runs the MINT Programme (Mentoring, Internships, Networking and Talks), which helps recent graduates access mentoring, paid internships and networking events with employers to enhance employability.
