Safe, clean communities: No matter which campus a student chooses, they can be confident that their stay will be pleasant and secure. The College was established in 1967 and is a highly acclaimed public community college serving over 8,500 full-time and 20,000 part-time learners on three campuses. The college offers hundreds of career paths in health sciences, community studies, business and information technology, engineering technologies, and media, art and design. Since 2004, they have added more than $1.24 million in academic upgrades, including new computer labs, classroom technology and study space A recent $3.7 million student centre expansion means lots of space for studying and meeting other students.St. Clair College main campus is home to over 90 programmes in the areas of health sciences, community studies, engineering technology and skilled trades, and business and IT. Thanks to the on-campus 204 bedroom suite residence, students will find that living in residence adds considerably to their college experience. The newly opened SportsPlex is across the street from the residence and offers students the very latest in fitness training in the 10,000-square-foot fitness centre, an elevated indoor track, and a triple gym that is home to our Saints Varsity programme. The campus boasts a number of new academic buildings that enhance student learning, including the Centre for Applied Health Sciences, which houses all of the learning labs for our 12 Health Science programmes, and the Centre for Construction Innovation & Production, which supports our skilled trades programmes. Why St. Clair College? There are lots of great things happening on campus! From pubs and fundraisers to events and sports teams, St. Clair College is totally committed to providing students with a well-rounded campus experience. One great way to dive right into the "college experience is to join a Student Representative Council/Thames Students Incorporated-supported club. There are over two dozen different clubs that students can get involved with, all academically based. At the beginning of each semester, the SRC/TSI ratifies the clubs, provides them with some start-up cash, and then they pretty much run themselves. The SRC/TSI lends the clubs its barbeque to sell hot dogs and burgers at lunch as a way to raise funds. Some clubs raise money to compete in competitions, some to take trips to their future work environments, and some to attend club-specific conferences.Athletics: Students will be thrilled with the College SportsPlex facility in Windsor and the HealthPlex facility in Chatham. They both feature large gymnasiums, fitness centres, walking tracks, workout studios, classrooms and more! The Windsor campus is home to the varsity athletic team, the Saints. Come out and cheer them on. From basketball, volleyball, soccer, curling and more, there a sport for everyone to get involved in.Location Located in the most southern part of Canada, St. Clair campuses align at the same latitude as Northern California, Madrid, Spain, and Rome, Italy.
